“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.”

-Carl Jung

Kathleen Chavoor (Bergen), M.A., LMFT
Ph.D. Candidate in Depth Psychology | Integrative Healing Practitioner

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Ph.D. candidate in Depth Psychology with a focus on integrative healing practices. Over the past nine years, I’ve supported individuals and families across diverse clinical settings, including schools, private practice, and NGOs. My work centers on helping clients reconnect with their authentic Self by gently exploring the uncharted terrain of the inner world.

I believe that true transformation begins when we stop trying to fix ourselves and start listening to what our symptoms, patterns, and longings are asking of us. Whether you're navigating grief, relational pain, life transitions, or the quiet ache of disconnection, I offer a grounded, compassionate space for deep inquiry and healing.

If you’re tired of holding it all together, of performing strength while feeling unseen, you’re not alone, and you’re not broken. Therapy with me isn’t about finding quick solutions. It’s about being witnessed in your vulnerability, meeting yourself with compassion, and remembering who you are beneath the protective layers that once kept you safe.

If something here resonates, I invite you to reach out. We can begin with a conversation and explore what’s possible.

Kathleen's Therapy Approach
  • "Dreams give information about the secrets of the inner life and reveal to the dreamer hidden factors of his personality.”

    -Carl Jung

  • “The process of individuation is the process of integrating the conscious with the unconscious, of becoming a whole, complete, balanced individual.”

    - Marie-Louise von Franz

  • "Heartache births healers. Healers study shadows and desolate places within themselves."

    -Pixie Lighthorse

  • "Wholeness is not achieved by cutting off a portion of one’s being, but by integration of the contraries."

    -Robert A. Johnson

  • “It seems to me, in one of its aspects, the psyche is not individual, but is derived from the nation, from the collectivity, from humanity even.  In some way or other we are part of a single, all embracing psyche…”

    -Carl Jung

  • "Listening archetypally requires us to pay attention to the images and symbols that arise in conversation, understanding that these carry the weight of collective human experience."

    -James Hillman

  • "It takes courage to face one's emotional states directly and to dialogue with them. But therein lies the key to personal integrity. In the swamplands of the could there is meaning and the call to enlarge consciousness. To take this on is the great responsibility in life. We alone can grasp the ship's wheel. And when we do, the terror is compensated by meaning, by dignity, by purpose."

    -James Hollis

  • "Following your own star means isolation, not knowing where to go, having to find out a completely new way for yourself instead of just going on the trodden path everybody else runs along. That's why there's always been a tendency in humans to project the uniqueness and the greatness of their own inner self onto outer personalities and become the servants, the devoted servants, admirers, and imitators of outer personalities."

    -Marie-Louise von Franz
